PROENZA SCHOULER SPRING 2012

every season. every fucking season they always hit it out of the fashion park.

Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, these boys are geniuses.

where are we going to this collection? i’m not sure. the jungle, maybe.

what we saw was not what we think it was. the crochet is actually plastic and the leathers are actually eel skin. unusual? maybe. but whatever they use, they use it brightly, that’s what the proenza schouler boys do.

every season they always gave us something new, innovative, original in our eyes. they are just geniuses. no one beats this duo. out of all the fashion duos out there, none. at least in my eyes they are.

Chic. Feminine. Fun. Wu.

madam-editor:

Wu WOWs the World.

To say Jason Wu is a talented designer is to acknowledge the sky is blue. #Justsaying. Whilst sticking with his signature dressed up look, one that has gained him clients such as First Lady Michelle Obama, he can do no wrong and his ss12 collection just went on to further prove that. He instigates that the Wu Woman has an attitude and that, is true style.

What Wu does so well is dress women up in a way particular to them; mix ladylike with edge so his looks are proper but with cool-rockability factor, depending on your personal style. He caters to his different clients quite well in that respect. Silks, prints, shorts and that skirt! All with an element of refined glamour; even the sporty short shorts which he combined with a buttoned up paired down blouse and the feathery light coat. His play with colour; the blue floral silk mohawk skirt and the mustardy blouse; just works. The classic LBD is simply adorable and the most divine was the Balenciaga-esque inspired full skirt in that delicious candy pink paired with a simple sleeveless top.

I mean…WU-WOW!

Next season Wu belongs in my wardrobe, if these clothes are anything to go by. Who wouldnt want to wear a candy pink full skirt?!
